Let’s just say it plainly:

I’m not here to comfort your conscience. I’m not here to decorate your moral decay with kosher sprinkles. And I’m certainly not here to apologize for existing.

You’ve made your position clear.

You want dead Jews or, at the very least, silent ones. Quiet ones. Ones that don’t raise their voices, don’t raise their fists, don’t raise their flags.

We tried that. We tried being meek, compliant, grateful.We lit candles in basements. We whispered prayers behind closed doors. We hid our children.

We swallowed humiliation like bread and called it survival.

And still - you hunted us. You gassed our parents. You mocked our pain. You flattened our homes, stole our names, and then asked us to sign guestbooks at our own memorials.

Now you want us to go back to that?

You, the “enlightened” world, who can’t decide what a woman is but has bold opinions about Jewish self-defense.

You, who cries for the “Palestinian cause” while your cities crumble and your values rot, drunk on identity politics and TikTok revolutions.

You, who funds terrorists with one hand and lectures us about “restraint” with the other.

How generous of you to let us die with dignity.

Except this time - we won’t.

We’ve had our fill of your tolerance theater. We’re full up on your performative outrage, your fake tears, your fetish for “Jewish trauma” -as long as it’s historical, sanitized, and buried six feet under.

Well, sorry to disappoint. We’re alive. And we’re not in the mood to die quietly.

Yes, we are angry - incandescently angry. But don’t mistake that for hatred. Because here’s the part you always miss:- 

We still light candles. We still sing on Shabbat. We still name our children after those who never had graves. We still plant trees. We still build schools. We still write poems, cook for strangers, and cry when rockets fall.

We haven’t forgotten how to love. We just learned how to survive with a spine. The world taught us brutality. But we answered with resilience. The world tried to strip us of our humanity - and we responded by becoming guardians of it.

Yes, we carry rifles. We also carry stretchers. Yes, we fight wars. We also offer aid -even to those whose leaders pray for our destruction.

And every time you paint us as monsters, we keep showing up with bandages.

We are not the problem. We are the proof.The proof that you can endure every empire, every exile, every pogrom, every gas chamber - and still choose life.

But don’t confuse that choice with passivity.

We’re not your punching bag. We’re not your scapegoat. We’re not your lesson in historical guilt, your moral mascot, or your diversity hire.

We are a people who’ve buried enough children. And we are done listening to sermons from those who never sent theirs to war.

You ask, “Why are Jews so angry?”

Because we know the price of silence.
Because we’ve read the footnotes of your history books -the parts you leave out.
Because every time we dare to live with pride, you paint it as provocation.
Because you chant “From the river to the sea,” and pretend it’s poetry, not a death sentence.
Because we come back from the ashes - and that offends you more than our deaths ever did.

So no -we won’t go back into your moral cage.

We’ll build. We’ll sing. We’ll protect. We’ll celebrate life even when surrounded by those who worship death.

And if that makes you uncomfortable? Good.
Maybe you’ll finally pay attention. Because we’re not going anywhere.
Not for your comfort.
Not for your approval.
But for our children.
For our future.
For our eternity.

I don’t believe in the word narrative. I believe in facts. The Jewish claim to this country is based on facts, while the Palestinian claim is based on lies. There is no such thing as a narrative— there is truths vs. lies, falsification of history and creation of a new people which had no existence until the mid-1900s. The British Mandate revived the name Palestine, which was given to this country by Hadrian, the Roman Emperor in the second century in order to denigrate Jews who rebelled against him in 136 CE. In order to punish them, he named it according to their enemy, the Philistines, who were not Arabs. They were Greek. Meanwhile, this name was almost abandoned. The British renewed it when they came here and established the Mandate of Palestine in 1923. So, Arabs who lived here adopted this epithet of Palestinians because of this mandate.

Arabs who lived in the Land of Israel (between the Jordan river and the Mediterranean Sea) have never referred to themselves as Palestinians. Between 1517 and 1917 they were Ottoman citizens of Arab ethnicity, and the area was called Sham, or Greater Syria, including what today is Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Israel. The British and French divided the area to states artificially, but none of these states created a nation. Ethnically, all the citizens of these states are Arabs. 

In Jordan, because people who lived in cities and villages didn’t want to associate with the Kingdom of Jordan, they continued to call themselves Palestinians. This is one of the reasons why 80% of Jordanians still call themselves Palestinians. To be called Jordanian means that you are a Bedouin, and for them it is some kind of insult to be viewed as a Bedouin.

With regards to the “Palestinians” being indigenous, for many, their names testify that they are not indigenous. There is a big family in Qalqilya named al-Horani. This means they came from Horan, which is an area in present day Syria. Within Israel there is al-Masri (Egyptian). There are many other names that testify that they are not originally from here.

The ones who were here for longer can have the Emirates in their family name. But look, not every group has a state in the world. Many democratic states have minorities, and in some states minorities have autonomy. How much autonomy varies from place to place. The Arab emirates are emulating the same paradigm as the minorities of almost every state in the world. Therefore, the situation of Palestinians living in Israel is similar to the many other countries in the world that have minority groups living in them.

Zionism is the Jewish national movement. Most other nations in the world have a national movement and it is as legitimate as every other national movement. Those who deny the right of the Jews to be a nation and to have a state on their ancient soil are Jew haters because they want to deny Jews a right from which they would give to any other nation in the world.

In summary, many Muslims—Palestinians and others—do not want Israel to exist altogether, and do whatever they can in order to hurt it. Unfortunately, there are some people who sympathize with this Arab/Muslim desire and take part in acts against Israel in various arenas, including the academic, political and public.

Lord Baron Stuart Polak tells House of Lords: "I have no problem with legitimate criticism where it is due, but this obsession with Israel needs to be addressed. This singling out of the Jewish state is wrong, unjustified, and plays a role in the rise and rise of anti-Semitism."

"Israel is being singled out ‘with nauseating frequency,’ to borrow a phrase, and we are joining in," said Lord Baron Stuart Polak, president of Conservative Friends of Israel, in a House of Lords speech on Jan. 7.

"I have no problem with legitimate criticism where it is due, but this obsession with Israel needs to be addressed. This singling out of the Jewish state is wrong, unjustified, and plays a role in the rise and rise of anti-Semitism," he said.

"Whether it manifests itself in Monsey [New York] in the United States or just down the road in South Hampstead, it arises, as we have seen in the Labour Party, when there is a failure of leadership on the grandest scale," added Polak.

The baron also raised the question of the Palestinian Authority’s terroristic practice of "pay to slay," making it clear that the government has an obligation to ensure that British taxpayer money go to those in need, as opposed to rewarding terrorists convicted of heinous crimes and their families.

"In 2018, the Palestinian Authority paid over £260 million [$338 million] – around 7% of its annual budget – on salaries to killers and murderers," said Polak.

Referring to the Netherlands’ discontinuation of direct aid to the PA in November because of this terror reward policy, he urged, "We must pay our way, but not when our aid is used to pay for slay. We must find a method by which aid payments serve the recipients who need our support in Palestinian society, and at the same time, serve the interests of the British taxpayer."

Though these issues have been ongoing, Polak told Jewish News Syndicate that with a new British Parliament, now is the time to raise the issues they want and "set an agenda."

"My speech was a signal that this is a priority for the pro-Israel community," he said.

In the context of a rise of anti-Semitism and violence against Jews worldwide, Polak said that he will "again raise the issue of payment to Palestinian prisoners and continue to push."

In his speech, Polak took the opportunity to congratulate the government on its new legislation making it illegal for local councils to implement boycotts against Israel. "The promise by the government to legislate against BDS was a first and shows where the new government is at in relation to these sorts of issues," he told JNS.

He then rebuked the United Nations for fixating on the world’s only Jewish state. "There was one resolution on North Korea, one on Syria, one on Iran and two on Russia. There were no resolutions on China, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia or Pakistan. But there were no less than 18 resolutions on Israel. That is totally unacceptable and, what is more, far too often the UK votes for these resolutions," he said in his speech.

Polak critiqued a resolution that was passed at the UN General Assembly on Dec. 13 called "Israeli practices affecting the human rights of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem," saying, "suffice it for me to say that the resolution totally ignored terror attacks against Israeli civilians in Israel, referring to them as "tensions and violence."

It also negated deadly rocket and missile attacks by Palestinians on Israeli cities and towns over the years, and sought to strip Israel of its inherent right to self-defense by classifying every defensive measure as "a violation of international law."

In addition, he continued, "it referred to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem only by its Islamic name, Haram al-Sharif. What did we do? We voted for the resolution, whereas our allies and friends in Canada, Australia and the US had the courage to vote against it."

Polak concluded with a request that the United Kingdom look "very carefully" in the future before voting against Israel at the United Nations.
