The Price Of Saudi-Israeli Peace.

Video Of The Week-A Camera Made in Israel Which Sees Through Walls - https://tinyurl.com/9y9fs53x

Here is the letter from the JP, reacting to the Article above.

The connection drawn between relations with the  Saudis and concessions to the Palestinians, mentioned in the last few days’ editions of the Post, is extremely disturbing as it concerns one of the most basic reasons for the continuing war between Israel and the Palestinians. i.e. the so-called “OCCUPATION”, as explained below.

This has probably been one of the most successful and powerful propaganda stories put out over the past 70 years or so, arousing the most serious and widespread anti- Israel and antisemitic feelngs worldwide.

The actual fact of the matter is that the true status of Judea and Samaria, according to its factual recent hisfory, is that it was internationally established  legally as Israeli territory, was occupied by Jordan in 1948 in an attempt to destroy Israel, and recaptured by Israel in 1967 when the surrounding Arab countries again tried to annihilate Israel.

Israel then refrained from annexing the area (called “the West Bank”) but was prepared to negotiate its status in the framework of an overall peace agreement, which status applies until today. Israel has meanwhile tried to give the Palestinians the opportunity to develop independently in parts of the “West Bank”, but they have failed in this endeavor, using their energies to fight each other and attempting to murder Jews and Israelis.

The Palestinians never owned any country or part thereof, and the concept of “occupation” by Israel in this regard is a total fabrication since they’ve never owned anything that could be occupied.

The entire phenomenon of Palestinians waging war on Israel with every means available, including rockets into residential areas, continual horrific terrorist murders of Jews or Israelis, the spreading of lies in every country, and their Covenant calling for the annihilation of Israel, rests on one assumption only ― the lie, which they have taken to believing themselves, that Israel occupies their land.

The aggressive  behavior of the Palestinians has proved conclusively that Israel daren’t allow an independent Palestinian entity on the West bank highlands overlooking the Israeli central coastal plain, which would place it  under threat of destruction.

And America  claims that Israel must make serious concessions to the Palestinians so as to encourage the Saudis to improve ties with Israel?. Surely it’s the Palestinians who must make huge concessions to Israel?

Leo Dee to 'Post': Considering Lawsuit against CNN

Video Of The Week - Dershowitz: I will Represent Rabbi Dee against Amanpour & CNN, https://tinyurl.com/3eb3edz4

Dear David,

We have not met; however, you may have heard about my family. My wife Lucy and two beautiful daughters, Maia (20) and Rina (15) were recently and cruelly massacred by two Palestinian gunmen while driving on their way to a holiday on the Sea of Galilee during the festival of Passover. The gunmen swerved the car off the road until it stopped and then got out of their car and shot 20 bullets into my wife’s brain stem and 6th vertebra, Rina’s face and Maia’s leg. They all died from their wounds but not before Lucy donated all her organs to save five lives including one Muslim Arab Israeli in the North of Israel.

You, I understand, have recently had the honor of becoming the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery and the tenuous honor of becoming the de facto head of CNN.

As you know the founding fathers of Warner Bros. were Harry, Albert, Sam and Jack. They founded the company in 1923 and acted very bravely in the 1930s when they resisted a Hollywood ban on anti-Nazi films which was allegedly requested by Joseph Goebbels himself (chief propagandist for the Nazi Party) by way of the Nazi consul in Los Angeles, Georg Gyssling.

Harry, Albert, Sam and Jack would be turning in their graves today if they knew what Warner Bros was supporting in the Middle East.

CNN draws moral equivalence between victims of terror and families of killed terrorists

CNN is an organization that draws a moral equivalence between the innocent victims of terror, such as my wife Lucy and my daughters Maia and Rina, and the mother of a terrorist who was morally eliminated by Israeli forces in order to prevent him from murdering more innocent victims.

I know this, David, because of a conversation I had with the head of your Israel bureau, Richard Greene. When I asked him, “Do you think that it is morally equivalent to compare what happened to me to what happened to the mother of a terrorist?” Richard answered me, “Rabbi Dee, with great respect you are making an assertion that I do not agree with.” This is an appalling statement to someone, such as myself and my surviving three children, who have just been bereaved through a violent murderous attack by Iranian-backed Palestinian terrorists on three of our most precious family members. If CNN cannot admit that there is a moral difference between the murder in cold blood of three beautiful innocent women and the man who murdered them, then it can only be described as an evil organization.

AS YOU are well aware, this year, Freedom House, the world standard for measuring human rights for countries, granted the Palestinian Authority a score of 25 which means that it is not free. That means that the 2.5 million mostly Muslim Palestinians are denied basic human rights such as the freedom of speech, the freedom of religion and the freedom to vote by the Palestinian Authority. At the same time, Freedom House granted Israel a score of 77. That means that the two million Muslim Arab Israelis are granted full freedom of speech, freedom of religion and freedom to vote. The Palestinian Authority is exactly the sort of fascist regime that the original Warner Brothers fought to bring down.

In fact, David, if you look at the Freedom House scores around the Middle East you will find that Israel is the only free and democratic state in the region, surrounded by Gaza (score of 12), Iran (score of 14) and Syria (score of 1 – the lowest score in the world).

CNN seems to constantly try to draw a moral equivalence between these unfree regimes, where their local Muslim populations are effectively slaves to a corrupt elite, and Israel whose local Muslim population lives in freedom and democracy. And then they try to blame the troubles of the Middle East on Israel! How ridiculous!

It is obvious to any person with a high school diploma that the problem is most likely to come from the fascist regimes surrounding Israel, rather than the only free and democratic state in the region. And since CNN staff have University degrees, and many from Ivy League universities, it is clear that they are not misinformed, and so they must be intentionally misleading the public or just plain evil.

David, I would love to have the opportunity to meet with you and discuss this in more depth, along with some friends of mine who have been through different holocausts (including the one that I have been through myself). I believe that you have a good heart and you wish to do good in the world. Why else would you wish the stress of being the head of a major media giant?

So, before I commence a multi-billion-dollar lawsuit against CNN and Warner Bros., please agree to meet me, in London, Efrat, or NY, in the next week to discuss this in person. I do believe there is a solution of shalom (peace in Hebrew) that will accommodate all our needs – the need for truth, honest reporting, hope and human kindness. And, yes, you will continue to make large profits, possibly even larger ones, if you have three hours to hear what I have to say.

With love, Leo

Why a Two-State Solution Won't Work

Video Of The Week -Lebanon Border Deal, Who Gains and Who Loses?- https://tinyurl.com/2p9am6xf

For the full Article by Dore Gold, go to https://tinyurl.com/3bxn6ht4

Prime Minister Yair Lapid's support for the “two-state solution” during his UN General Assembly address re-opened the Israeli debate over the merits of this policy. It was never a part of the key documents that provided the diplomatic basis for the Arab-Israeli peace process in the past.

It sounds fair but however it sounds, the two-state solution is not drawn from binding legal commitments made by Israel in the past.

In October 1995, Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin gave his final address to the Knesset weeks before he was assassinated. In the speech, he outlined the components of a final peace settlement with the Palestinians. He did not make any reference 1o the two-state solution. His backing of Palestinian statehood by itself was at best lukewarm. He spoke only about an entity which was “less than a state.”

Another problem with the terminology of the two-state solution is the expectation that if the Palestinians' grievances are fully addressed and resolved, the wider Arab-Israel conflict will come to an end. Diplomats embraced the “two-state solution” as a kind of magic key that would solve the Arab-Israel conflict. There is no indication that this was ever true.

If the considerations of the Palestinian Arabs were paramount for the Arab world, then why wasn't a Palestinian state established in Judea and Samaria when the Arab world had the chance because it already held those areas? The Palestinian Arabs tried briefly to set up a mini- state in the Gaza Strip, known as the All-Palestine Government, but it never acquired wider backing through international recognition.

Israel needs to design an approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that keeps in mind the true dimensions of the wider conflict. The Arab-Israel conflict has resembled an accordion that can expand or contract according to international circumstances.Today there is a risk that if the two- state solution becomes popularized again,Israel will come under rising international pressures to adhere to its terms, even if they do not apply. It risks stripping Israel of its right to secure boundaries which is an integral part of Resolution 242.

What recent events demonstrate is that a very different Middle East has arisen. Diplomacy remains vital in this new period, but i1 will only yield results if it addresses the vital interests of the parties. That is the lesson of the Abraham Accords, which produced four normalization agreements between Israel and Arab states. The two-state solution is just a nice-sounding mantra that will lead diplomats off course. This should be the message of the State of Israel the next time an Israeli prime minister addresses the UN General Assembly.

West Bank Security Fence - Israel's Lifesaver

Video Of The Week - Underground Barrier Stops Gazan Terrrorists - https://tinyurl.com/acrx3nvb

Semantics matter in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Is it the West Bank or Judea and Samaria? Are the areas Israel gained control over in the Six Day War “occupied” territories or “disputed” ones? Do Jews beyond the Green Line live in “settlements” or “communities?”

More often than not, the word selection reflects a worldview

In the same vein, how one refers to the meandering fence built close to the Green Line at the height of the second intifada says much about a person’s politics. Call it the “separation barrier,” and you likely believe in a two-state solution and want to “separate” from the Palestinians. Call it the “security fence” or “security barrier”  and you likely see it as a defensive barrier meant to save lives.

Refer to it as the “Apartheid Wall,” and it is abundantly clear where you stand. Roger Waters calls it the apartheid wall, as does – most likely – the chairperson of Ben & Jerry’s board of directors.

Numbers are useful in deflating claims  and the numbers are straightforward.

There were more than 3,000 attacks that originated from Judea and Samaria from September 2000 until the end of 2006 that resulted in the deaths of 1,622 people killed inside the Green Line in terrorist attacks.

From 2007, when most of the existing fence was up, until today, he says there have been 141 attacks from Judea and Samaria inside Israel, that led to the killing of some 100 people.

Those numbers tell the whole tale. The fence wasn’t set up as a border or as a means of suppressing the Palestinians, but rather to save lives. And the numbers show it succeeded in fulfilling that objective.

The decision to build the fence was part of three pronged approach to the wave of terror.

The first prong was a military operation – Defensive Shield. This was an offensive military campaign that brought the IDF back into the Palestinian cities from which it had withdrawn under the Oslo accords.

The second prong was to prepare a security barrier as a defensive tool.

And the third prong was to prepare a political horizon, which culminated in a speech by then-president George W. Bush delivered at the end of June 2002, in which he said that if the Palestinians changed their leadership, reformed their institutions and fought error, then the US would work toward the creation of a two-state solution.

There were hardships , but great efforts were made to ease the hardships. Also, he notes, not one Palestinian home was demolished in building the barrier.

“The fence is only a temporary security route that will be changed the minute we sit and negotiate and agree on a border,” he says. “Israel has always said, even after negotiations with the Palestinians after the fence was built – at Annapolis [in 2007] – that the fence is not a border, but a defensive measure.

The fence, like the other obstacles, is a security measure. It does not establish a border, political or otherwise.”

Some 470 km. of the barrier has been erected. Various routes of the fence have been proposed, with the original route planned to be some 740 km. The route was modified several times over the years by the High Court of Justice following petitions from human rights groups representing Palestinians.

For most of its length, the barrier is a chain-linked fence with sensors, surveillance cameras, barbed wires and patrol roads. Only some 5% of the barrier is actually a 9-meter tall concrete wall, and most of that is in urban areas – such as Jerusalem – where a wall takes up much less space to build.

Tellingly, the mini-wave of terror earlier this year, during which 19 people were killed in six weeks starting in late March, led to a decision to repair the barrier where it had been damaged, and plug holes through which some of the terrorists who carried out those attacks moved across the Green Line.
