Dubai’s Crossroads Museum of Civilizations to
hold special event Saturday night remembering the victims of the Nazis and
honoring the Muslims who saved Jews; Moroccan city of Tangier to host official
ceremony in presence of dignitaries
For the second consecutive year, two of the
Arab countries that signed the Abraham Accords normalization agreement with
Israel will hold events around International Holocaust Remembrance Day on
Friday to remember the six million Jews who perished at the hands of the Nazis.
The Crossroads Museum of Civilizations in
Dubai in the United Arab Emirates will commemorate the Holocaust at a ceremony
on Saturday night organized in cooperation with the Israeli and German
embassies there.
The UAE became the first Arab country to
officially commemorate the Holocaust at a similar ceremony held last year.
The Crossroads Museum of Civilizations in
Dubai was also the first museum in an Arab nation to include a special
exhibition that commemorates the Holocaust and tells the stories of its survivors.
“It is very important to us that we focus on
educating people about the tragedies of the Holocaust because education is the
antidote to ignorance,” museum founder Ahmed Obaid Almansoori said in 2021.
The exhibition also has a section dedicated
to the Arabs and Muslims who helped save the Jews from the Nazis.
The exhibition includes pictures and
paintings identifying personalities such as Selahattin Ülkümen, the Turkish
consul-general in Rhodes who saved the Jews of the Greek island from
deportation to Nazi death camps, and Dr. Mohamed Helmy, the Egyptian physician
who saved many Jews from Nazi persecution in Berlin. Helmy had been studying in
Berlin and remained there throughout the Second World War, where he saw what
happened to the people around him and decided to save Jewish families.
Also in the exhibition is a historical
section in which rare collectibles are on display, such as a facsimile of
the Worms Mazhor, a Jewish prayer book from the German city during
the Middle Ages.
The museum will allow attendees to tour the
Holocaust exhibition, and the event will be streamed directly via YouTube for
those who cannot attend in person.
The museum told The Media Line that there
will be recorded and live speeches about the Holocaust delivered during the event,
as well an introductory tour on the Holocaust exhibit.
The UAE was the first Arab country to
officially include the events of the Holocaust in the curriculum for students
across the Emirates, where more than 200 nationalities reside.
In Bahrain, the King Hamad Center for
Peaceful Coexistence has not announced any events to remember the Holocaust
this year, but did host a commemorative event last year.
Sources familiar with the center told The
Media Line that its representatives were currently in the Italian capital Rome,
to inaugurate the Declaration of the Kingdom of Bahrain – the founding
manifesto of the work of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence.
Morocco is holding a Holocaust commemoration
in the city of Tangier, with the participation of some of the country’s
dignitaries. A similar event was held last year at the Moshe Nahon Synagogue in
Tangier.
While there is no official event this year,
Ibrahim Robin, a member of the Bahraini Jewish community, told The Media Line
that they hold an annual a Holocaust remembrance ceremony at the Ten Commandments
Synagogue in the Bahraini capital of Manama.
“There is great sympathy on the part of the
Bahraini people for what the Jews have gone through. Bahrain is a peaceful
people and does not accept any kind of injustice or criminality,” he
said.
“After the Abraham Accords [were signed], we
have seen a greater light on the Jews in the Gulf, but the reality of
coexistence with the Jews in the Gulf predates these agreements.”
Egypt and Jordan, the first two Arab
countries to sign peace agreements with Israel, have not held any
commemorations of the Holocaust in the decades since they signed those
treaties.
Sudan, which is the fourth signatory of the
Abraham Accords, will also not hold any events to mark the day.

From Iran, With Love ?

Elements in Saudi Arabia and the UAE also mocked the statements in recent days by commanders of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) in which they warned that Israel would pay a heavy price for its crimes in Gaza and that Hizbullah would land a heavy blow on Israel when the tine was right. They asked why Iran was not making good on its threats at a time when Israel was attacking Gaza.
This report reviews the Saudi and UAE
criticism of PIJ and mockery of the Iranian threats.
Senior Saudi Journalist: The PIJ Is An Iranian Proxy Being Used By Iran To Set The Vienna Negotiations In Motio
On August 6, 2022, the senior Saudi journalist 'Abd Al-Rahman Al-Rashed, former editor of the Saudi daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat and director-general of Al-Arabiya TV, tweeted: "The compass of events [is as follows]: The Gaza residents always pay the price. But how should the battle be understood? It depends whose side you are on – [are you] for or against Iran? [Palestinian] Islamic Jihad is an Iranian proxy organization, just like Hizbullah, [the Iraqi-Shi'ite] Asaib [Ahl] Al-Haq, and the Houthis [in Yemen]. Palestine is not their concern.
"Tehran wanted to set the Vienna negotiations over the Iranian nuclear project in motion, so Hizbullah attacked the [Karish natural gas field] with its UAVs, and [Palestinian Islamic] Jihad fired its missiles." [1]
Saudi Intellectual: "The Palestinian Cause Has Become A Bargaining Chip In The Hands Of.. The [Iranian] Ayatollah Regime"
Saudi intellectual Turki Al-Hamad tweeted: "It is apparent that if at one time any confrontation between Israel and the Palestinian organizations would attract world and Arab attention and provoke a wave of anger [against Israel], today this does not shock most Arabs and most of the world's [countries]. Furthermore, even a sense of human solidarity [with the Palestinians] has become rare and embarrassing, raising the question, Why [is this so] and who is to blame?
"Is it because the [Palestinian] side [leading] the confrontation here is an extremist Islamist organization whose activity is subordinate to orders from Iran, which is seeking to reap diplomatic gains [in the nuclear negotiations] in Vienna[?] Or is it because this is an outcome of the Palestinian leaders' cumulative failures throughout history in dealing with the Palestinian cause? Or are all the answers correct?
"I believe that the main reason is the lack of confidence in all the Palestinian leaders and their manipulation of [the Palestinian] cause. From the Arabs' and the world's perspective, it is already clear that these leaders are manipulating the [Palestinian] cause out of self-interest and diplomatic, economic, or even personal motivates, and that the Palestinian issue is completely unconnected to this. The Palestinian cause has become a bargaining chip in the hands of these and other organizations and states headed by the [Iranian] ayatollah regime." [2]
Bahraini Journalist: The PIJ-Launched Missile That Misfired And Killed The Children In Jabalya Was An Iranian Missile
UK-based Bahraini commentator and journalist Amjad Taha tweeted that he blames the PIJ for the deaths of three children in Gaza; the tweet included a video clip circulated on social media showing the misfiring of the missile aimed at Israel from the Jabalya neighborhood. He wrote: "We condemn and sharply criticize the missile fire by the terrorists of the [Palestinian Islamic] Jihad movement... The video below clearly [shows] how the launch of an Iranian missile by the [Palestinian] Islamic Jihad movement failed. The missile fell to the ground and as a result the massacre occurred in Jabalya, and the children were martyred..." [3]
UAE Daily: Iran Doesn't Want To Directly Confront Israel – So "Gaza Is The Sole Outlet For An Iranian Response"
In a lengthy front-page report on August 7, the London-based UAE daily Al-Arab criticized the PIJ in a front page story on August 7, 2022, writing that "Gaza again became an arena for the settling of accounts between Iran and Israel, when the Palestinian citizens are the ones paying the price." It added that Iran does not want directly confront Israel for its bombings in Syria and its attacks on Iranian scientists and nuclear facilities, and thus "Gaza is the sole outlet for an Iranian response." The report quoted Palestinian sources who claimed that the PIJ, the Palestinian faction closest to Iran and influenced by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini's Islamic Revolution in Iran, "prioritizes the Iranian agenda at the expense of the Gaza [residents'] suffering." Israel Signs Free Trade Deal with UAE

Ambassador to the UAE Amir Hayek succinctly announced the signing of the agreement on twitter, tweeting "Done!" in response to a previous tweet on the topic.
Israel entered its first-ever free-trade agreement with an Arab state, when Economy Minister Orna Barbivay signed the deal with her counterpart in the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday.
Ambassador to the UAE Amir Hayek succinctly announced the signing of the agreement on Twitter, writing “Done!” in response to a previous tweet on the topic.
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett praised the FTA as “historic” and the fastest to be signed in Israel’s history. He thanked Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohamed Bin Zayed for accelerating the process.
“We are continuing to warm the peace between the countries,” Bennett tweeted.
On Monday, Barbivay said her visit to Dubai was “of strategic importance to the economic relations between the State of Israel and the United Arab Emirates. Together we will remove barriers and promote comprehensive trade and new technologies.”
Israel and the UAE
established full diplomatic relations in August 2020, in what is called the
Abraham Accords. Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco followed soon after.
“Together we will remove barriers and promote comprehensive trade and new technologies,” she added.
Israel and the UAE established full diplomatic relations in August 2020, in what was called the Abraham Accords. Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco followed soon after.
Israel has 19 free agreements, including the one with the UAE. Israel also has a more limited free-trade agreement with Jordan, but the new deal with the UAE is much broader and is similar to those with the United States and the European Union.
The free trade
agreement is the UAE’s second, following one with India earlier this year.
This agreement covers 96% of the trade between Israel and the UAE, which stood last year at $885 million.
That is more than
double Israel’s $330m. in trade with Egypt in 2021, even though the two
countries have had a peace agreement since 1979.
According to the Economy and Industry Ministry, the level of trade in 2020 stood at $120m. and at $1m. in 2010.
The FTA signing went forward as planned, even though the UAE criticized Israel a day earlier for allowing Jews to visit the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site.
“The UAE today strongly condemned the storming of al-Aqsa Mosque courtyard by extremist settlers under the protection of Israeli forces,” a statement by the Emirati Foreign Ministry read, calling on Israel “to take responsibility for reducing escalation and ending all attacks and practices that lead to the continuation of tensions.”
There was no documentation of violence by Jews or Israelis on the Temple Mount this week, though some did pray at the site in contravention of the rules for Jewish visitors. Some Muslims threw rocks at visitors and police from the Aqsa Mosque.
The UAE statement came a day after the annual Jerusalem Day flag march through the Old City, which was mostly peaceful, though some Jews and Muslims chanted calls for violence and there were some minor clashes, leading to about 50 arrests.

Israel and Abraham Accords: A Tale of two Parallel Universes.

Israel seems to exist in two parallel, contradictory worlds. One is
a false, hackneyed, out-of-date, and threatening universe where recalcitrant
and violent Palestinian leaders are venerated, and admirable Israeli leaders
are criminalized. The other universe is real, promising, forward looking, and
stabilizing, and is marked by a peace dynamic that runs from Jerusalem to
Dubai, Manama, Rabat, Cairo and Amman; and from Jerusalem to the most important
leaders in the world. Consider the
following very recent happenings.
GENEVA and NEW YORK: A new UN Human
Rights Council (HRC) report this week accused Israel of apartheid, just in time
for the annual debate on “Agenda Item 7,” the permanent council item reserved
for Israeli “human rights abuses” against Palestinians and other Arabs.
“The political system of entrenched rule in the occupied
Palestinian territory which endows one racial-national-ethnic group with
substantial rights, benefits and privileges while intentionally subjecting
another group to live behind walls, checkpoints and under a permanent military
rule… satisfies the prevailing evidentiary standard for the existence of
apartheid,” said the ugly report. The
report was the latest in a litany of one-sided, baseless reports, vilifying
Israel and engaging in a full-scale lawfare assault on Israel’s very existence
as a Jewish state.
Saleh Higazi, Deputy Director for the Middle East and North Africa
at Amnesty International praised the HRC report as “an important and timely
addition to the growing international consensus that Israeli authorities are
committing apartheid against the Palestinian people.” In February, Amnesty
International released its own tendentious report accusing Israel of apartheid.
SHARM EL-SHEIKH: United Arab Emirates Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, and Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett conducted two days of discussions this week to solidify their new regional alliance for peace and security. They discussed energy, market stability, and food security, as well as development of a regional radar security umbrella against Iran.
The Crown Prince also unfroze $10 billion in investments in Israeli
companies that he promised former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The UAE’s
large sovereign funds will divide the investments between them. The first fund
to enter the Israeli market is the ADG (Abu Dhabi Growth) Fund, which plans on
investing $200 million in 2022 in Israeli companies, and a similar sum each
year over 10 years.
Also this week, Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum
visited Israel’s national pavilion at the GISEC Global cybersecurity fair in
Dubai; an Emirati think tank published book on Zionism written by Tel Aviv
University researchers; the UAE-based retail giant Lula began talks on
operation in Israel; Morocco signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) for a joint research and engineering center;
and the Israeli navy took part in another joint Red Sea naval drill with the
US, UAE, and Bahrain, under auspices of the US Fifth Fleet (which is
headquartered in Bahrain).
UNFORTUNATELY, Israel seems to exist in two parallel, contradictory
worlds.
One universe, dominated by so-called Western “progressives” in
cahoots with Arab/Islamic radicals, disses rather than embraces the Abraham
Accords and is stuck in a time warp where Israel is an evil actor.. It is a
tragic, forlorn universe.
The other universe – real, promising, forward looking, and
stabilizing! – is marked by a peace dynamic. The discourse about Israel in
corrupt international institutions and in some aspersive Western campuses and
capitals couldn’t be more different than the discourse in Arab capitals and
other calm and considered decision-making centers. It’s confrontation versus
cooperation, demonization versus solidarity.

UAE Foreign Minister
Abdullah bin Zayed spoke Monday with new Foreign Minister Yair Lapid,
discussing “mutual cooperation and Abrahamic Accords,” the Emirati Foreign
Ministry said in a tweet.
“His Highness
congratulated @yairlapid on his new term as Israel’s new FM,” it said.
“I
had the great pleasure of speaking to the Foreign Minister of the United Arab
Emirates this evening and I look forward to working with him
to build on the warm and unique relations between our two countries for the
benefit of our peoples and the entire Middle East,” Lapid said.
Earlier,
Bahrain Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued a statement
congratulating Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Lapid on the formation of a
new government.
“The
crown prince expresses his sincere wishes that the newly formed government will
enhance development, stability, and peace in the region and the world,” the
statement said.
The
new government, an unlikely alliance of right-wing, left-wing, centrist, and
Islamist parties, was sworn in on
Sunday, ending Netanyahu’s 12-year term in office.
During
Lapid’s first visit to the Foreign Ministry on Monday, he highlighted his
diplomatic priorities, including building on the Abraham Accords that also saw
Israel sign deals with Morocco and Sudan.
“Part of our work will of course be to
strengthen our presence in the region. Great things have happened this past
year. We need to continue the development that started with the Abraham
Accords. To work to strengthen the peace with the Gulf States, with Egypt and with
Jordan,” Lapid said.
“We
will work to sign agreements with more countries in the region and beyond. It’s
a process, it won’t happen in a day, but the Foreign Ministry will coordinate
those efforts,” he said, indicating a shift in the Israeli approach.
In
recent years Israel’s efforts to expand its ties with the Arab world have
largely been conducted by the Mossad.
Also
Sunday, the Kan public broadcaster reported that talks are underway between
Israel, the US, the UAE and Bahrain aimed at holding a ceremony in September to
mark the one-year anniversary of the signing of the Abraham Accords.
It was
not yet clear where the event will be held or whether the ceremony might be
used to announce the addition of another country to the normalization circle.
Kan
said the talks were conducted by outgoing foreign minister Gabi Ashkenazi, who
was part of the Blue and White party that is also part of the new government,
indicating that the efforts will likely continue.
Lapid
also specifically highlighted improving ties with neighboring Jordan, praising
King Abdullah as “an important strategic ally,” and promising to work with him.
Ties between Jerusalem and Amman were frigid at best over the last several
years and Abdullah reportedly had little patience for Netanyahu.
But
Lapid added that Israel’s relationship with the Palestinians will be a defining
factor in the nation’s ties with other countries, likely referring to the
sensitivity in the Arab and Muslim world surrounding the ongoing conflict.
“We might not be expecting a final status agreement soon but there is a lot we can do to improve the lives of the Palestinians and the dialogue with them on civil issues,” he said.

Will UAE be safer for Jews than most of Europe?
Video Of The Week - 500 Ethiopian Jews Airlifted to Israel - https://tinyurl.com/yc2sx752
For the full article By SETH J. FRANTZMAN, JPost, 13-12-2020, go to https://tinyurl.com/ycs96vbn
Hanukkah celebrations in Dubai last week and the national efforts to support tolerance and coexistence in the United Arab Emirates have created a reality in which Jews are more welcomed and safe in the UAE than in Europe. Many friends and contacts I have spoken to say they were surprised by the feeling walking around the Emirates’ most populous city over the last week wearing a kippah, something they would be hesitant to do in many places in Europe.
This is a testament to the reality of most Western democracies: It’s dangerous to be a Jew in Europe. Jewish schools are attacked and Jews with a kippah are assaulted. It happens almost every day throughout Western Europe and the US, where in some places half of all religious hate crimes target Jews.
Today, Jews are safer in the UAE than in most European countries and most American states. We measure antisemitism in most Western countries by how many thousands of attacks there are – that’s the reality. In most European countries, intolerance towards Jews is widespread, and growing.
This is evident on any visit to a synagogue or Jewish school in European countries. I have been to most of these countries over the last twenty years. I’ll never forget going to a kosher coffee shop near Oranienburger Strasse in Berlin. It was near the beautiful New Synagogue in that part of the German capital, a shul burned down during the Nazi era. Outside the coffee shop there were two policemen to guard against attacks. There were no people inside having coffee.
To be a Jew in Berlin, I wondered at the time, meant that if I go to a kosher coffee shop, there will have to be police guarding it. This is not “protection” but rather an illustration of the levels of hate directed at Jews. But this isn’t security. People shouldn’t have to pray behind armies of police and soldiers with assault rifles. When we talk about a decline or increase in antisemitic attacks in Europe, we count them in the thousands. In 2018, for instance, there were 1,652 antisemitic incidents in the UK.
A person has to
think twice before wearing a kippah in most countries in Europe – it’s risky.
One could be spat on, shouted at, randomly attacked or even murdered.
NOW, a new embrace of Jews appears to be happening in the Gulf. These words of tolerance are not just about words, but appear to be about making Jews feel part of the fabric of places like Dubai, where people from 200 nationalities live. This means Jews can become a fabric of these societies, so that a man with a kippah is as normal as anyone wearing any other type of outfit. That is the way it should be.
It should be normal to be Jewish, to celebrate Hanukkah, to wear a kippah if one wants, to do Jewish things and buy kosher food if one keeps kosher. It should be as normal as to be Muslim, Christian, Hindu or Buddhist. Yet, a Buddhist and people of other faiths can go to prayers in Germany or France or the UK and not worry that they and their children will be beheaded and murdered by extremists. Their graves will not be vandalized.
IT’S POSSIBLE to have zero levels of anti-Jewish attacks. But it’s difficult when members of some European political parties, such as the Labour Party in the UK, are found to be members of secret social media online groups that openly deny and mock the Holocaust. That’s the reality. When educated people in the leading political parties are “liking” and tolerating posts on Facebook claiming the Holocaust didn’t happen, or claiming Jews “exploit it,” then you have a problem. You can’t have tolerance when some of the people who are supposed to be progressive and in charge of tolerance in places like the UK deride and dislike Jews and tolerate Holocaust denial.
It’s not clear if
the new messages from the UAE, Bahrain and other states that are pushing
tolerance and coexistence will lead to a new era in the Middle East, but today
I’d feel safer in the UAE with a kippah than in most countries in Europe. That
says a lot about the disastrous failure of wealthy Western countries to create
a society of tolerance towards an ancient minority.

Arabs: «Palestinians Repeat the Same Mistakes»
Video Of The Week- Kuwaiti TV Host: Palestinian Historic Mistake - https://tinyurl.com/y6o7tqcw
For the full article go to - https://tinyurl.com/yydr2fpl
In
addition, several Palestinian factions have urged the
Palestinian leadership to withdraw from the Arab League to protest the refusal
of the Arab countries to condemn normalization with Israel. Earlier this month,
the Arab League foreign ministers refused to endorse
a Palestinian draft resolution condemning the UAE for its decision to make
peace with Israel.
«The
resolutions of the Arab League are mortgaged to the Zionist American
administration,» the factions said in a statement.
«Normalization [with Israel] is a huge betrayal of the Palestinian issue and a
stab to the sacrifices and pain of the Palestinians and Arabs.»
The
threats to pull out from the Arab League and withdraw Palestinian ambassadors
from Arab countries that establish relations with Israel have sparked mockery
and a flurry of critical comments in the Arab world, particularly the Gulf
states. The main theme of the criticism: The Palestinian do not learn from
their mistakes.
The
Arab criticism, directed mostly against the leaders of the Palestinians, is yet
another indication of the growing antagonism between the Palestinians and the
Arab world. At this pace, Palestinians might wake up one morning to discover
that they no longer have any friends in the Arab countries at all.
Many
Arabs are outraged by the Palestinian threats, as well as the daily attacks on
the UAE and Bahrain. These include accusations that the two Gulf states have
«betrayed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem and the Palestinian issue» by agreeing to
establish relations with Israel. The Arabs are also reminding the Palestinians
of the many opportunities they missed when they rejected a number of peace
initiatives and plans.
Lebanese
journalist Khairallah Khairallah expressed outrage
over the Palestinians’ labelling of the signing ceremony of the
Israel-UAE-Bahrain deals at the White House as a «black day.»
«The Palestinian leaders are refusing to learn from past experiences. The Palestinian armed organizations have repeated Jordan’s experience in Lebanon. They played a role in destroying Lebanon [during the civil war]. Would the Palestinian issue have benefited had the Palestinian organizations managed in 1970 to overthrow King Hussein?»
«It was expected that Abu Mazen [Mahmoud Abbas] would have learned from the mistakes of Yasser Arafat and from the mistakes of the experiences of Jordan and Lebanon, but he took the worst of Yasser Arafat. Half a century after what Palestinians call ‘Black September,’ nothing has changed. The Palestinians still have the ability to make the same mistakes.» (Al-Arab, September 20, 2020)
Saudi
political analyst Sami al-Morshid pointed out that the Palestinian leadership
has in the past rejected several peace initiatives and treaties. Each time the
Palestinians do this, al-Morshid said, «they lose.»
«Unfortunately, Palestinian leaders, repeat the same mistakes. They rejected the Egyptian and Jordan peace initiatives [with Israel], and they rejected US President Bill Clinton’s peace initiative [at the 2000 Camp David summit]. These days, they reject President Donald Trump’s peace initiative and, finally, they reject the peace initiatives of the UAE and Bahrain.»
Iraqi
writer Farouk Youssef said that the Palestinians’ problem is that their leaders
do not want a Palestinian state. «The Palestinians failed to establish their
state,» Youssef remarked.
‘They failed because they did not want to establish a state. Here I mean the political leaders, some of whom still insist on repeating revolutionary phrases. The establishment of a Palestinian state will be a burden on the Palestinian leaders and will prevent them from practicing corruption. The Palestinians need to realize that the others were tired. The Authority is no longer suitable to represent the Palestinian people.» (Al-Arabiya, September 19, 2020)
Saudi
writer Yusef al-Qabalan also accused Palestinian leaders of repeatedly
rejecting peace initiatives over the past few decades. Noting that the
Palestinians had failed to take advantage of the Arab Peace Initiative, adopted
in 2002 by the Arab leaders, al-Qabalan wrote:
«The realistic choice for the Palestinian leaders was to activate that Arab initiative in all political ways at the international level. What happened? The Palestinian leaders met the peace initiatives with rhetoric of betrayal and slogans that do not achieve anything on the ground. The Palestinian leaders turned to the traffickers of their issue, such as Iran, Turkey and Qatar and lost their strongest card, which is national unity. Palestinian leaders failed to invest in opportunities. They failed to take strategic decisions and chose [instead] to forge an alliance with Iran.» (Al-Riyadh, September 18, 2020)
UAE
Islamic cleric Wassem Yousef, addressing the Palestinians and other Arabs who
reject peace with Israel, wrote on Twitter:
«Israel did not destroy Syria; Israel did not burn Libya; Israel did not displace the people of Egypt; Israel did not destroy Libya, and Israel did not tear up Lebanon. Before you Arabs blame Israel, take a look at yourselves in the mirror. The problem is in you.»
Palestinian
leaders, meanwhile, are ignoring the messages and advice from their Arab
brothers. The Palestinian leaders in the West Bank and Hamas in the Gaza Strip
do not like to be reminded of their mistakes. Moreover, they are unwilling to
accept any advice, even when it comes from Arab states that used to pour
billions of dollars on them. The biggest losers, of course, are again the
Palestinians — who are quickly losing the sympathy of a growing number of Arabs.
